Well, it’s been a very hectic morning at photography!  Lots of great models and some really fun shots.

Ted who is one of our Customer Service Advisors but also a dancer, is also here today modelling for us. Here he is having a short break with Elaine our Buyer.

Today I had a day off from photography to travel to London to see 10 beautiful dancers from ABT Studio Company perform in the Linden Studio with a group of dancers from The Royal Ballet School.

Both sets of students really excelled and it was lovely to see our friends from ABT again including Franco De Vita and Raymond Lukens. The students had taken class together, with the ABT students wearing their 1st Position Pro leotards and unitards.

We are having great fun with our lovely models from dancing schools in the Liverpool area. Here is a sneak peak…

I also had a tour of Liverpool Theatre School today. Great studios! Thanks Maxine for showing me round.

Amazingly we are once again starting to shoot the 2012/13 catalogue. I can’t believe the time has come round again to travel to Liverpool and set up our “studio” here. We are looking forward to meeting all our lovely models, first though there’s work to be done.

Poor Elaine (really our Buyer) got the short straw first thing this morning…..

I have just started mentoring a lovely young lady who is studying at Exeter University but has already started an on-line business selling beautiful scarves. I am really looking forward to working with her.

This week we were delighted to welcome our good friends and colleagues from D’Valda and Sirico Dance School in Connecticut. They enjoyed a tour of IDS and spent some time in the Showroom. Here we are surrounded by costumes in the Showroom!

After leaving Devon they travelled to London to Move It where they will have a stand promoting Dance Teacher Web and Conference. Steve Sirico and Angela D’Valda Sirico will also be teaching at the Dance Teacher Events at Move It.

The lovely ladies from Association Artedanza Teatro Italia who came to visit our stand at Danza in Fiera got very excited about their free tiaras and our UV costumes and accessories.

Here they are with Daniella who has done a brilliant job talking to all the Italian people we have met.

We were so pleased today to be able to present our Retailer of the Year Award to Odette who has been such a great ambassador for our products in Italy.

Everyone at IDS sends her many congratulations as well as many thanks for all her business. Here is Odette and her mother receiving the award on our stand here at Danza in Fiera.

Danza in Fiera is an amazing dance exhibition held each year in Florence. For the first time IDS is exhibiting here so we can meet our many Italian customers.

We are very lucky to have Daniella with us as, not only is she a member of our Customer Service team but she is also a fluent Italian speaker!
