IDS showroom opens it doors to a Japanese customer who travelled over 6,000 miles to visit our HQ.
Naturally, we gave Lisa Maria Johannsen Sawamura and her husband Rui a very warm welcome after the long journey to Devon. Like all visitors who come from a far we put them up in the local hotel that enjoys views across the Teign Estuary and Dartmoor National Park only a short distance away.Living and teaching in Japan, Lisa has the pioneering spirit. Just 6 months ago she set up her own Dance Studio, British Ballet Arts. The first and only ISTD Dance School in Japan. With 120 pupils she has already a place on the map. IDS is delighted to have the opportunity to show Lisa, who is already a Diamond customer, around the showroom. Her next show is just a couple of months away and she is finalising her costumes now that she has seen them in the flesh. Lisa certainly deserves the 10% discount on her purchases over the next 7 working days that all customers visiting the showroom receive.

Good luck for what promises to be a great success in July and a safe journey home to Japan from all at IDS.

Thursday saw several of the senior management team join me in London for a day of mini seminars on all different multiple-channel topics. I hope you are able to benefit from our new ideas and skills!
In the evening we attended the ECMOD Awards. We have won our category on a number of occasions in the past but had not had time to enter this year. It made a welcome change to be able to enjoy the evening and the networking opportunities without stressing about the winner announcements!

In London for a couple of days of meetings and seminars. Andrew Ward (Development Manager for IDS) and I were lucky enough to be able to watch company class at the Royal Ballet’s Clore Studio in Covent Garden. Here is Andrew with Stephen McRae. A gruelling start to the day for the dancers, which would not end until late last night after hours of rehearsals as well as class and then a performance.

I hope you have had a lovely Easter. Spring is a beatiful time of the year to be in Devon with daffodils and primroses everywhere. These are in our garden but they are in all the fields and along the country roads too.
We have enjoyed two days off work at IDS and now are preparing to take the “still life” photographs for our next Diamond Book.
Look out for your Newsletter which will soon be coming your way.
